Welcome to the Batavia Public Library
Batavia Public Library stands in solidarity with its community of Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders.
We are disappointed and saddened by the rise in discrimination and violence aimed at Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders during the coronavirus pandemic.
At Batavia Public Library, we support diversity, equity, and inclusion in our programs, services, and collections to reflect the range of cultures in the Batavia community and beyond. We want Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders—indeed all races, cultures, and ethnic groups—to feel safe and supported in our community and at the Library.
We urge the Batavia community to join us in condemning racism towards Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders.
The Board of Library Trustees is scheduled to meet as a committee of the whole on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., via electronic means (the Zoom platform).
