What is a Discovery Kit?
Made possible by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Batavia Public Library is proud to present circulating kits featuring a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) items.
What is in a Discovery Kit?
While each kit contains unique items related to their subject, all kits contain a Discovery Journal for you to share your experience with other kids as well as a survey to let us know what you liked. Many of the kits contain books and dvd’s for further exploration.
How Long can I Keep a Discovery Kit?
The loan period for a Discovery Kit is 4 weeks.
How Many Discovery Kits Can I Check Out?
Due to the limited number of kits, please check out at a time per family.
Can I Place a Hold on a Kit I am interested in?
Yes, Batavia Public Library cardholders may place holds on Discovery Kits.
Where Do I Return the Kit Once I am Finished?
Please return the kit to the circulation desk at the Batavia Public Library
