Check out a book club kit

  • Our Book Club Kits gather everything you need to make your next book club meeting a success. Kits contain 7 copies of a book-club friendly book (plus 1 large print copy if available) and a discussion guide that includes biographical information on the author and questions, all in a handy canvas tote bag. Check out available kits when in the Library—they’re shelved in Adult Services—or place one on hold. Kits check out for 6 weeks and cannot be renewed. Click HERE to see our current selection.

Book Club for Kids

Are you interested in hosting a children’s book discussion at home or school? Then why not try one of the Book Discussion Kits found in the Youth Services Department?

There are more than 40 book discussion kits for students in grades 2 – 8. For a complete listing of all the book discussion kits available search the catalog for “Book Discussion Kit” and limit to Batavia Public Library District.

Each kit contains 6 copies of a particular book title, and a master sheet of at least one reproducible activity such as discussion topics, questions, games and/or activities. Each kit is packaged in a sturdy plastic carrying case and may be checked out for four weeks.

Statement of Mission

The mission of the Batavia Public Library is to provide and ensure access to materials and services to meet the lifelong learning needs of residents and organizations, as well as to create a welcoming place to gather, exchange ideas, and participate in cultural events.
