Place a hold on materials
You may still get the physical items that you desire. Use the online catalog to place holds on books and the other materials, or we can place holds for you; just call us, send us an email, text us, or chat with us at your convenience.
When your holds are ready for pick-up
You will receive an automated hold notice from SWAN by email, text, or phone (whichever method you have chosen for your account).
When you arrive at the Library
• Park your car (if driving)
• Call the Circulation Department at (630) 879-1393 Option 1
• Provide your Library card number
• Circulation will put the bagged items on the curbside pickup table (located outside front doors under the portico) for you to collect.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 when you use the Curbside Pickup Service, face masks are encouraged for all patrons.

Visitors may use their own digital devices to access the Library’s free Wi-Fi from the Library parking lot, 24/7. The Library also has several Wi-Fi hotspots available for check out; please call (630) 879-1393 ext. 200 to inquire.

You have 24/7 access to the Batavia Public Library through the internet. Download or stream an eBook, movie, graphic novel, eAudiobook, music, and more, using the Library’s eBooks & eMedia.
During the curbside pickup phase, Batavia Public Library will print up to 20 black-and-white pages (or 3 color pages) per patron per week, free of charge.

The purpose of the eCard is to provide temporary access to the Digital Library for patrons who are eligible for a regular library card but prevented from registering for a library card because the Library building is closed at this time.
· Temporary eCards are available for individuals age 14 or older who live within the Batavia Public Library District service area
· Temporary eCards will provide access to online digital resources including eBooks, eAudio Books, online databases, and more!
