Library notaries will decline to provide notary services in situations that do not comply with the provisions of the Illinois Notary Public Handbook. Generally, there is a notary available at the Library during regular hours of operation until 30 minutes before closing time, however, we recommend calling 630-879-1393 in advance of your visit to ensure that a notary is available.

  • A valid state or federally-issued form of identification, with your photo and signature, is required.
  • Documents to be notarized MUST be signed in the presence of a notary. The Library does not provide witnesses; you must bring your witnesses if required by the document(s) you wish to have notarized.
  • Witnesses must be at least 18 years of age. Close relatives may be prohibited from being a witness, depending on the document being notarized. Documents must be filled out with no blanks or corrections made.

Notarize Cook County real estate documents.
    Notarize I-9 forms.
